P&S CYtation Award

How often given

Six to eight awards are presented semi-annually. Nomination deadlines for 2008 are March 31 and December 1, 2008. The awards are presented at a recognition ceremony at the President's Office.

Criteria

Nominees must be P&S employees. The department/college or submitting unit will rank the nominations submitted. The nomination needs to be for work done within the past year (from date of submission).

Who selects

The submitting groups will be Departments, Colleges, or Unit Offices. Groups within those categories (offices, project groups, individuals) make recommendations to the submitting group. The application form is simple: name, position, department/unit, description and time frame of the good work. The number of nominations will be limited to two from a submitting group. The submitting unit will rank the nominations if more than one. The number of applications from a submitting group may be limited to two submissions per quarter.

What do we give for the award:

• Certificate of Award
• Picture of the President and employee
• One year Family Membership to Reiman Gardens (compliments of Reiman Gardens)

Communication

• Promotion notification will need to go out to Departments/College/Units.
• P&S e-mail tree
• ISU News (including Inside Iowa State and ISU Daily)
• P&S Website contains information and application forms
• Pictures and names of winners will be posted on the P&S Council Web site.
