Information on the 2010 P&S Council Election will be posted after Jan. 1, 2010.  Deadlines and seats available are expected to be similar to those in 2009 outlined below. Please check back for 2010 information.

2009 Election

Nominations for the 2009 P&S Council elections are due no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27. All Professional and Scientific Staff at Iowa State University are eligible to serve.

If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the P&S Council, nominations are being accepted through Friday, Feb. 27, for the upcoming March elections. You are encouraged to nominate yourself or someone who you think would make a good representative of you and your fellow employees on the council. A nomination form is available online as a Microsoft Word document.

Terms for newly-elected representatives begin in June 2009. Nominations for 2009 Election

The P&S Council is seeking nominations to fill 17 seats in the following areas. Terms are for three years except for openings due to resignations or officer elections. If more than one term-length is listed, successful candidates who receive the most votes will serve the longest terms.

Academic and Research - 9 vacancies, 8 for three years, one for two years
Business and Finance - 2 vacancies, one for three years, one for two years
Extension - 1 vacancy
IPRT & Ames Lab - 2 vacancies, one for three years, one for two years
President's Office - 1 vacancy
Student Affairs - 2 vacancies, one for three years, one for one year

Please submit your nomination form and photo suitable for web posting (photo is optional) as e-mail attachments to (check back for e-mail address).

Online voting will be open on Access Plus starting March 2 and will end on March 20. Information on the voting process and candidates will be available after the nomination deadline.
