P&S Council Nominations Due Friday
Want to make a difference? Nominate yourself or someone
you know to serve on P&S Council by 5 p.m. on Friday. Beginning March
1 P&S staff will vote to fill 17 seats on the P&S Council
for terms beginning July 1. For more information contact Malisa

Feb. 28 Deadline for Award Nominations
Award nominations are due Feb. 28 for Professional and Scientific
Excellence Award, Carroll Ringgenberg Award, P&S Outstanding
New Professional Award and Regents Award for Staff Excellence.

Regents Award for Excellence to Receive $1,000
This year's recipient of the Regents Award for Staff Excellence
will receive a one-time $1,000 award. The award gives P&S
staff members statewide recognition for excellent service and
contributions to the university. Nomination information is

P&S Professional Development Day
The P&S Professional Development Day will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. April 4 at the Hotel at Gateway Center. The cost is $65. Registration details
will be announced as soon as the registration form is online.
William Parker will open the conference with a keynote address
entitled "Cultural
Intelligence." Parker is president of Parker & Parker Associates,
a human resource development consulting firm in Lexington, Ky., and retired
vice chancellor for minority affairs at the University of Kentucky.
Following
the conference, all P&S employees are invited to Reiman Gardens
from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. for ice cream. They will be admitted to the gardens
for free.
