Nine P&S Staff Receive "CYtations"
On Monday, Feb.
16, President Geoffroy presented nine P&S staff members with
CYtation Awards. This new award, a joint project of the P&S Council and
the president, recognizes staff who have performed above and beyond the call
of duty
or whose work has made a very real difference at Iowa State. More information,

Guidelines for Accommodating New Parents
The Board of Regents' consideration of a proposed arrival-of-children
policy, supported by the P&S Council, is on hold. Vice president
for academic affairs and provost Ben Allen is encouraging department
chairs to work closely with employees
preparing for the arrival of a child to "devise the best way to
accommodate this change in the employee's life." See related documents

P&S Constitutional Amendments Passed
P&S staff voted
recently to amend the council's constitution. The changes streamline
procedures for accommodating council members whose areas of representation
change during their tenure (due to change of position, etc.).
