P&S COUNCIL OPEN FORUM, APRIL 2
Bruce Van De Velde, ISU athletic director, will speak at the next
P&S Council forum on April 2, at noon in the Pioneer room at
Memorial Union. He will give an overview of the athletic program,
including information on our Cyclone varsity sports, academic performance
of student-athletes, graduation rates, Title IX, competing in the
Big 12 Conference, and the budget as it relates to funding scholarships
and operating expenses in a competitive Division I-A Athletic Department.

VOTE - MARCH 28th DEADLINE
Be sure to cast a vote for your favorite P&S Council candidate.
Friday, March 28 is the deadline to vote. Go to AccessPlus,
click on the employee tab and then click on the voting link in the
left margin. P&S staff in all representation areas are eligible
to vote this year, with five council members to be elected from
the Academic and Research area and one each from Business and Finance,
Extension, External Affairs, IPRT/Ames Lab, and Student Affairs.
As of noon Monday, 300 P&S employees had voted, about 13 percent
of those eligible. Election results will be announced at next week's
P&S Council meeting and successful candidates will be seated
at the June council meeting.

COUNCIL REQUESTS ELECTRONIC DATABASE OF PIQs
The P&S Council requests that generic descriptions for all job
titles and all employee-specific Position Information Questionnaires
(PIQ) be put on an online database. |
