LOOKING AT SALARY ISSUES
The Council approved a motion to forward to the President and other
administrative offices a report regarding P&S/merit salary overlap
issues. This report has been compiled by the Council's compensation
and benefits committee.
The Council also heard assistant provost Ellen Rasmussen's preliminary
response to April 2003 Council reports regarding salary compression
and pay-grade advancement. She anticipates that the administration
will be able to address some of the issues raised within the next
few months.
Note: Since the May meeting, Warren Madden, vice president for
business and finance, has responded to the April reports via a memo
to Council president Rex Heer. More information is online.
