2008 Employee Benefits Forum
At noon on Thursday, Nov. 1, the P&S Council will host an
open forum in the Gallery Room in the Memorial Union. Mike Otis,
Benefits Manager at ISU, will be discussing ISU employee benefits
for 2008.
Violence in the
Workplace Policy
The University recently sought comments on the Violence-Free Campus
policy draft and related procedures.

This new policy, as well as related procedures and resources, are
intended to help prevent, deter, and respond to concerns regarding
acts of violence.
Retention and Recruitment
Grant Deadline: Oct. 25
The P&S Council's Recruitment and Retention Committee seeks
your new proposals with funding to be utilized for spring and summer
programs. All funding must be expended by June 30, 2008 and a midyear
report will be due March 31, 2008.

Proposals will be due no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25,
2007.

Flu Shots: Nov. 6-20
Flu shots will be provided to faculty and staff from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. weekdays Nov. 6 through Nov. 20 in 205 Technical Administrative
Service Facility (TASF). Each ISU employee will be required to
have his/her ISU ID number to obtain a shot. Limited parking is
available in front of TASF. Occupational Medicine staff will administer
the immunizations, which are provided by ISU at no cost to the
employee. For more information regarding the flu shots, call 4-0874.

Deadline for P&S
CYtation Awards Dec. 1, 2007
Six to eight awards are presented semi-annually. Nomination deadlines
for 2007/08 are December 3, 2007, and March 31, 2008. The awards
are presented at a recognition ceremony at the President's Office.
Nominees must be P&S employees. The nomination needs to be
for work done within the past year (from date of submission).

Forums
- November 1st, 2007
MU Gallery, 12pm-1pm
Mike Otis, Benefits Manager at ISU, will be discussing ISU employee
benefits for 2008.
- December 6th, 2007
MU Oak Room, 12pm-1pm
Mike Harvey, Director of Recreation Services at ISU, will present
on plans to renovate and expand the current Recreation Facilities.
- There will be no January Open Forum
- February 8th, 2008
MU Pioneer, 12pm-1pm
Jamie Pollard, Director of Athletics, will update the campus
on the Athletics department.
All P&S employees and guests are welcome to attend. Bring
a lunch if you like, and join us!
