FOLLOW UP TO THE SMOKE-FREE POLICY SURVEY
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to our mini-survey last month. Your input was valuable as the P&S Council pondered this issue. PRESIDENT-ELECT RESIGNATION
Teresa Peterson officially resigned from the position of P&S Council President Elect this week, and has forwarded the following note to share with P&S staff.

"It is with deep regret that I am unable to fulfill my term as President Elect of the Professional and Scientific Council. Many of you will wonder why I have offered my resignation. I believe that service on the Professional and Scientific Council is an honor and an important service to the P&S staff and Iowa State University. However, the time committment necessary to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of the position and future role as President are significant and should not be taken lightly. The choice of how to balance my personal and professional life, along with my ISU job responsibilities created an imbalance that I felt could only be resolved by my stepping down. I ask your understanding and please consider working with the P&S Council. They are a dedicated group of professionals who work tirelessly to represent P&S staff. Thank you for your support."

We all wish Teri the very best in the future and thank her for her service to the University.

NEXT P&S COUNCIL MEETING
