Friday is Final Day to Vote in
P&S Council Election
As of Tuesday morning just over 300 voters had cast online ballots
in the 2008 P&S Council election (about 12 percent of eligible
staff). P&S Staff are choosing among 16 candidates to fill
10 seats on the 37-member council. Representation Committee chair
Mike Hamilton says the vote is extremely close in several of the
races. Voting closes at 5 p.m. Friday, March 21, and winners will
be announced at the April 3 Council meeting.
To vote online, log in to AccessPlus at: http://accessplus.iastate.edu/
Select the Employee tab in the upper right corner, and then select
Votes and Surveys from the list on the left side of the page. You
will see listed only the candidates in your representation area.

P &S Compensation Study Open Forum March 26
The second of two open forums on the P&S
Competitive Cash Compensation Analysis Summary Report will be held
Wednesday, March 26, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Room 2055 Hoover
Hall (auditorium). The ISU team that worked with Towers Perrin
consultants will answer questions and provide information on the
study.
Professional Development Day Early Registration
Deadline
Save $10 if you register by Sunday, March 23, for the April
1 P&S
Professional Development Day at the Gateway Hotel and Conference
Center. Beginning March 24, the fee is $85 for the conference on
the impact of technology on our lives and its implications in a
rapidly changing world. To register online, go to:

Important Dates
March 31: Deadline for submitting requests for
2007 Flexible Spending Account reimbursement.
April 3: P&S Open Forum on the FY09 Budget, with Ellen Rasmussen,
Associate Vice President for Budgeting and Planning, noon in the
Memorial Union Gallery.
