Major agenda items discussed/committee action taken: Efforts are still underway to  build support for a student library fee and to ensure a stable source of funding for the library that will increase with inflation. Concerns were expressed over the budget model (draft  No. 6, Jan. 27, 2006), which currently shows that money for the library would come from the colleges and not directly from funding sources. Chair David Hopper encouraged committee members to submit comments on the current budget model so he can draft a letter in response to the draft.

Potential impact on P&S employees: A poorly funded library cannot fulfill the research needs of ISU staff, students and faculty.
