Major agenda items discussed/committee action taken:
- Pedestrian safety – Received information on the status
of a study and implemented signage changes that have occurred
at six pedestrian crossings on campus roadways in the past
two weeks. Committee will continue to provide reviews and feedback

Center for Transportation Research and Education along with
an outside Consultant continue to study the issues.
- Bikes and
bike programs – The committee will be reviewing
the bike rules for campus a future meeting and determine changes
if any are required.
Potential impact on P&S employees: The
Council’s primary function is to serve as a channel for
the expression of user-group opinions and preferences on matters
pertaining to the movement of people and vehicles to, from, and
around campus. The Council considers issues submitted to
it from outside, initiates studies, and develop policy recommendations
on transportation for the central administration. These
shall include but are not limited to parking, streets, traffic
signals, public transportation, bikeways, and facilities for
commuters, pedestrian walkways, and traffic safety. The Council
recommends changes to annual parking rates, fines and fees associated
