Nominations for next
year's University Awards are due February 10, 2017. However, please note that
many college deadlines for nominations occur much sooner. Awards available
include:

The application deadline
is Dec. 1, 2016, for the P&S CYtation Award, P&S
Woodin CYtation Award, Outstanding New Professional and Scientific
Council Member CYtation Award, and P&S Team Award.
Who is eligible for
the CYtation Award?
The CYtation award is
given to individuals who are P&S employees. They must be
nominated for performing above and beyond the call of duty, and/or
doing something extraordinarily well, and/or acting in such a way as
to make a very real difference in the institution.
Who is eligible for
the Woodin CYtation Award?
To be eligible for this
award, the individual must be a P&S employee and must meet the
following criteria:
- Demonstrates
exemplary service to Professional and Scientific Council or
P&S employees
- Demonstrates
willingness to go above and beyond
- Has a
positive attitude, shows true compassion for others, and treats
everyone with respect
- Demonstrates
leadership, innovation, and initiative
Who
is eligible for the Outstanding New Professional and Scientific
Council Member CYtation Award?
To
be eligible for this award, the individual must be a Professional and
Scientific Council member newly elected or newly appointed within 18
months of the beginning of his/her term. In addition, the individual
must meet the following criteria:
- Has
established a pattern of reliability and responsibility while
making a notable difference
- Fosters
cooperation and has strong interpersonal partnerships with
fellow P&S Council members
- Exhibits
potential for future contributions to Iowa State University
Who
is eligible for the Team Award?
The
Team Award is given to a team of P&S employees. The team must be
nominated for performing above and beyond the call of duty, and/or
doing something extraordinarily well, and/or acting in such a way as
to make a very real difference in the institution. This is intended
to be a group award.

The Healthiest State Walk
is happening on campus Friday, Oct. 7. Gather your co-workers and
take a healthy break from your work day. Several of your Professional
and Scientific Council representatives will be participating. See you
there!

Jordan Bates, Office of
Internal Audit
Jordan Bates is the
audit manager for the Office of Internal Audit and is the first ever
recipient of the Outstanding New Professional and Scientific Council
Member CYtation Award, a new award debuting in 2015. Jordan is
constantly learning and striving to be better and she has shown that
she will be a great leader at Iowa State. Read more about Jordan.
