In collaboration with the 5 implementer states, over 20,000 youth were reached the past two years.

She has several grants with the Iowa DNR called the Monarch Eggs Project where students rear monarch eggs through the life stages of caterpillar to chrysalis to adult butterflies with a focus on citizen science. To some of youth, she is known as “The Caterpillar Lady.” Through a grant with Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency, Lynne works with PK-12 science educators to implement the Next Generation Science Standards.

The best part of her role is witnessing youth and adults who are excited about learning because the experiences are interesting and engaging. Lynne loves building partnerships between ISU and other organizations and would use that approach when serving on the P & S Council. Lynne welcomes the opportunity to work across campus foster collaborative relationships.
