This is why I am running for re-election to P&S Council. I want to move Iowa State forward. An U.S. Army General I know once said: “A great organization shapes the future rather than reacts to events.” Thus, I want to continue to nurture P&S Council’s approach that most issues are not limited to just the P&S employees but are truly university-wide and all Iowa Staters must address.

By being on P&S Council, I can devote my time, energy, and deep commitment to this goal. Next, I want to motivate P&S employees across campus. We already commit the time, sweat, and tears necessary through our hard work to make Iowa State a place to be. We do this because we have a high level of commitment and thoughtfulness. Therefore, P&S Council must continue to be the proactive voice for P&S employees by being out in front, listening to our constituents, studying issues, and presenting proper and appropriate actions for the administration to consider for implementation.

Finally, my talents, strengths, and experiences make sense for P&S Council. I am currently in my second stint working at Iowa State. I have experienced the highs and lows that budgets can bring including having my positions cut. I have worked in three different colleges. Each is a unique culture. As a leader, my service on P&S Council has made me a better person. By being re-elected, I can continue to grow as a person and as a leader while never forgetting who got me here and who I represent, you, my fellow P&S colleagues.
