Jeffery Jackson, Senior Vice President & Provost Office
Throughout my 20+ year professional career, I have worked to positively impact my community, my work environment, and my team. I firmly believe in being the change you want to see in your environment. I want to be a part of the P&S Council to: build relationships across campus, be a voice for others, and to help be the positive change to make ISU the best it can be.
Throughout my career, I have been a part of many Community Coalitions, helped to start a Mentorship program in Detroit, Michigan for youth involved in the Juvenile Justice System, started safe-house programs, and helped to manage some of the largest and most thriving youth development programs in Michigan and Iowa. My most recent position was as the Executive Director for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dallas County before coming to campus as the Assistant Director of Admissions Early Outreach.
As Executive Director I was deeply involved in policy changes based on research, enhancement of benefits for staff, program updates, and financial management. Some of the Professional Committee's/Board's I have served on: The LOFT After-school-safe house Board of Directors, Adel Chamber of Commerce Board, Misfit Studios Non-Profit Board, Epsilon Sigma Phi- Alpha Mu (Iowa) Chapter Chair of Professional Development, Chair of ISU Extension County Director's Professional Development Committee, Pinky Swear Foundation Advisory Board.
