Seminar Series - Leading with Empathy: Responding with Clarity, Curiosity, and Accountability (Opens in new tab/window)
OnlineEmpathy is often viewed as a personal characteristic, but it can also be understood as a leadership practice that shapes how we communicate, collaborate, supervise, and support others. In this interactive session, participants will explore how empathy can help leaders navigate workplace challenges with greater intentionality while maintaining accountability and clear expectations.
Through reflection, discussion, and practical application, participants will examine three key leadership shifts: moving from judgment to curiosity, responding intentionally rather than reactively, and balancing empathy with accountability. Participants will explore how context shapes behavior, how assumptions influence communication, and how small changes in leadership responses can strengthen trust, understanding, and workplace relationships.
Participants will:
-Understand empathy as a leadership skill and professional practice.
-Explore how context influences behavior and workplace interactions.
-Practice shifting from judgment to curiosity.
-Learn strategies for pausing and responding with greater intentionality.
-Examine how empathy and accountability can work together to support growth and effective communication.
-Identify practical approaches they can apply immediately in their work. -
