The 8th Annual Professional and Scientific Council Professional Development Conference
February 13, 2020, Scheman Building, Iowa State Center
The need for professional development for P&S Employees has long been a priority for the Professional and Scientific Council. One of the opportunities Council has created is the full-day Professional and Scientific Council Professional Development Conference.
The 2020 Professional and Scientific Council Professional Development Conference will be held at the Scheman Building of the Iowa State Center on Thursday, February 13th.
The conference will offer inspiration and motivation through sessions that focus on Thriving Together. Look forward to sessions on topics that fall within the categories of leadership, health and wellness, professional resources, and human interactions. You will have the opportunity to learn new and strengthen existing skills, discover useful information that can be applied immediately and share techniques that can be utilized for increasing morale and motivation in the workplace. Plow the ground for a successful career by exploring campus resources; sow the seeds for increased productivity by learning new skills and competencies; grow relationships by networking with fellow P&S Employees; tend to your personal well-being and professional fulfillment; reap the benefits for interacting with local and national experts; and understand the value of professional development as a strategy for organizational success.
This conference aims to provide participants with a day focused on learning new skills and strengthening existing ones, discovering useful information that can be immediately, and sharing techniques that may be utilized for increasing morale and motivation within our workplaces.
