Leadership means listening to everyone, shelving personal agendas and represent ALL of the people. I feel that I can accomplish this because I come from a professional administrative background that has allowed me to learn many processes, develop my skills, and continue to find subjects that are not only interesting to me but also getting other excited about them.

I recently started with ISU in the Computer Science Department as an Administrative Specialist where I work with faculty and students with arranging travel plans, creating spreadsheets and documents, and overall administrative support. This allows me to have a wide range of duties and skills to adapt to the needs of the student, faculty, department, and university. In order to do this, I have to be motivated and skilled at prioritizing tasks.

I believe that I would be a great candidate for the Council because I am motivated to find out what could make the work environment less stressful. I believe that people can relate to me because I am a good listener but I want people to feel recognized and acknowledged. Everyone is valuable and has a purpose. My motto is to smile and make at least one person’s day. Thank you for your consideration!
